Up 545am: Mostly sunny, windy and temps to about 15 degrees with below zero wind chills.

***The left ankle is in good shape. It's very surprising, but I'll hit Esporta and use the Cross-trainer and Precor and do much less on the treadmill.  

I ordered $55 worth of vitamins/ toothpaste from Aetna. I had a $60 ceiling, but I couldn't spend enough to hit the exact amount. Free is Free.

I wrote up 'GOODBYE, MICKEY MOUSE' by Len Deighton for the blog.

Watched 'ANON' (Netflix). In the near future, authorities have the ability to 'read' your identity and scan your  entire past. However, a young woman remains 'anon' and she is in the business of altering a person's permanent record...for a price. It's more than a little bit like 'THE MINORITY REPORT', but well worth a look; with Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried. Filmed in Toronto, Canada and NYC. Nice criticism: "An empty 'Black Mirror'.

Began 'NISMAN: The Prosecutor, The President, And The Spy' (Netflix).  The Argentinian Chief Prosecutor is found shot to death in his bathroom a day before he was to bring charges against the government for covering up their involvement in a terrorist attack on a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires. Half the country was convinced it was suicide and the other half believed it was a political hit. I watched the first three episodes and I'm running late- apprehensive about walking the treadmill. 

***I just learned that both Esporta and Planet Fitness close at noon today. I should have checked yesterday and I would have gone early. Now, I'll have to use the treadmill because it's far too cold to hit the streets.    

120pm: THREE MILES AT 3.7 PACE IN 49 MINUTES. No ankle problems whatsoever! Watched TUESDAYS WITH STORIES. 

Decided to not do the weights because of a little neck pain.

335pm: THREE MILES AT 3.8 PACE IN 48 MINUTES  and watched a JOEY'S JOINT. My left ankle feels absolutely normal. I would have bet the farm last night that this would have been a concern for many days. 

 450pm: In the tub with 'THE DA VINCI CODE' and listening to 'Live Evil'- MILES DAVIS; 'More Guitar'- RICHARD THOMPSON.

Watched 'THE GUILTY' (Amazon Prime- Leaves 12/31). A terrific thriller about an emergency dispatch police officer who gets a call from a woman who is being kidnapped. Actually, her husband is trying to get her back to the mental asylum after she had eviscerated their young son. Nearly the entire film is just the dispatcher on the phone with his callers. A Danish film; 38 wins & 43 nominations and I'm glad I got to see this one before it was dropped by Amazon.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
