Watched 'DISAPPEARANCE AT CLIFTON HILL (Netflix). A Canadian Film Noir set in Niagara Falls, Ontario about a woman who witnessed a kidnapping in her home town when she was seven years old. Fifteen years later she comes back and finds out more details about the crime. This reminded me of a trashy crime thriller featuring a feisty female heroine and I liked this one a lot. Because the woman's mental health is a factor in the film I loved the ambiguous ending; with Tuppence Middleton as 'Abby' and the director David Cronenberg playing a podcaster who delves into conspiracy theories of local concern. 

Watched more of 'FORTUNE SELLER: A TV Scam' (Netflix). Wanna Marchi and her daughter lost the beauty and health business and then started selling 'Luck'. Send in X amount and get numbers to a winning lottery ticket. When it doesn't win, they call you back and tell you that your child or your husband will die or become ill unless you pay them more money. In the end they did six years in jail, but millions were fleeced from the Italian public.  

1225pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

Watched 'DYING LAUGHING' (Amazon Prime). The documentary offers one or two minute observations about the nature of standup comedy from a wide range of standup comedians; Neal  Brennan, Theo Von, Sarah Silverman, Dave Attell, etc. Shut it down at 39 minutes and will continue this at another time. 

Began another 'NIGHTMARE IN SUBURBIA' (Amazon Prime). A sixteen year old female in Nottingham, England goes missing on a twenty minute walk to see her boyfriend. She's found in a field the next morning, raped and murdered. Twenty five years later the killer was found through DNA analysis.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
