Watched Netflix disc AFTER THE WEDDING. A woman runs a small orphanage in India and travels to NYC to request a donation from a very rich female executive. The hook is that when she arrives she's invited to the daughter's wedding and she realizes that she knows her benefactor's husband. It gets a little melodramatic, but well worth a look; with Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, Billy Crudup, Abby Quinn (She wrote and performed the acoustic song at the ending credits).  

Finished 'MOTHERING SUNDAY' (Netflix Disc). A young maid working on an estate in post WWI England has sex with her boyfriend on the afternoon he announces his engagement to another woman. He dies in an auto accident before he sees his fiance, and the film is about how the maid internalizes this devastating news. The film is told in flashback and the maid goes on to become an acclaimed author in her late sixties who wrote a novel about this incident. It's odd, yet very moving; with Odessa Young, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, and Olivia Colman.   

1055am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to walk downtown and mail back the discs.

Reading 'THE SECOND SON'

345pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished a TUESDAYS WITH STORIES;  began a THEO VON. 

445pm:  In the tub with 'THE SECOND SON' and listening to BRIAN ENO Playlist; ELTON JOHN Playlist; PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND Playlist.

Finished 'WOMAN OF THE DEAD' (Netflix). Five guys rape a girl on a ski lift, kill her and dispose of the body. Then, they brand themselves and years later they're involved in a human trafficking ring. And, the heroine, Blum, killed her parents while they were swimming. Blum pulled up the ladder while they were in the water and they weren't able to pull themselves onto the boat. Overall, the series was only saved by the magnificent locations. I'd give it a C'- Plus'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
