 Th 1/12/23

710am (B). 955am (2-B). 1245pm (2-B). 450pm (2-B). 720pm (B).

*** Jeff Beck died yesterday of cerebral meningitis.

Up 540am: A misty, rainy morning and then cloudy and breezy with temps on to about 40.

Watched 'THE SIEGE OF JADOTVILLE' (Netflix).  A fairly accurate portrayal of what happened in 1961 when the province of Kantanga tried to separate from The Republic of The Congo over valuable mining rights and the United Nations intervened. A platoon of Irish soldiers fighting for the UN are left in the lurch for the  'greater good'. It appeared that I had seen this one before, but my memory is blank; with Mark Strong, Jamie Dornan ('FIFTY SHADES OF GRAY').

Watched 'TORN HEARTS' (Amazon Prime). Two ambitious female singer/ songwriters visit the isolated mansion of a reclusive 'Queen of Country Music'. Mayhem ensues and it's too corny to be more than nonsense. A Blumhouse Production.

1225pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

1245pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and finished DAVID CROSS on TOM PAPA; began TUESDAYS WITH STORIES.

No Weights

Reading 'THE RISK POOL'

355pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and more of the two young 'paranormal' experts on J.R.E.

455pm: In the tub with 'THE RISK POOL' and listening to RORY GALLAGHER- 'Blueprint/ Irish Tour '74'.

Finished 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES' YouTube

Began 'SHTISEL' (Netflix). A soap opera about a contemporary orthodox Jewish family living in Tel Aviv, Israel. Even though it's subtitled, I have only the barest idea of what's going on. I think I'll pass on this series although I made it 15 minutes into episode #2.
