 Su 3/5/23

725am (B). 1015am (2-B). 1240pm (2-B). 445pm (2-B). 720pm (2-B).

Up 545am: Partly sunny, breezy with temps to upper 50's.

***I fed Buddy at 1145pm and 330am last night. He was not sick during the night and was ravenous (normal) this morning. However, I wonder how long I will consistently wake up twice a night to serve snacks?

Watched 'AT CLOSE RANGE' (Amazon Prime). Dad is released from prison and comes back to corrupt his sons and ruin their lives; with Sean Penn, Christopher Walken, Mary Stuart Masterson, Chris Penn, Tracey Walter, David Strathairn, Kiefer Sutherland, and Crispin Glover.  A surprisingly dark film and for all of Dad's proselytizing about 'Family' and 'Loyalty'  he is only motivated by self interest. I really liked the film.  Fun Facts: 1) The film was made when Sean Penn and Madonna were an item and she does the song over the closing credits. 2) Kiefer Sutherland and David Strathairn were such novices that they only had a line or two of dialogue.

The film is based on a true story about a gang of tractor thieves that operated in Pennsylvania and Delaware. The film was shot in Franklin, TN - just south of Nashville.

Finished the Netflix disc 'BODIES BODIES BODIES'. A great ending. The initial murder was only an accident. Pete Davidson's character was stupidly trying to open a bottle of champagne with a sword and accidently cut his own throat. And then a cascade of poor choices led to all the 'bodies, bodies, bodies'. Directed by Halina Reijn, a Dutch director, actress, author and producer.  This film is another brilliant reinvention of the 'Teen Scream' genre. A film category that has been so used and abused that it's become devoid of originality. Ti West is an American director that shares the same vision.

The plan is to do the weights and then drag the pine branches around to the front. Then spend the afternoon at Planet Fitness (after dropping off the disc at the Wabash PO).

1145am:  Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps.

1250pm: To Planet Fitness. 45"Cross.  45"Treadmill.  30"Bike.  30"Treadmill.  20"Cross; Watched a 'faith based documentary about a female addict from Kansas City who founded a successful community drug & alcohol treatment program- 'BOBBI JO: Under The Influence' (Amazon Prime); more of 'YELLOWSTONE' (Peacock-TV); more RUSSELL BRAND on J.R.E.

I stopped at the gas station across from Planet Fitness for a case of Bud Light and I had forgotten to bring my wallet. I had a note to use the credit card in the glove box so I bought the beer with that card. Even though the card is used every month to pay the Netflix bill, I wanted to see if the card would scan in a reader and check when the card expires. No problem with the card and it doesn't expire until 2027.

5pm: In the tub with 'THIRD DEGREE' and listening to DEREK & THE DOMINOS Live Playlist; THE BAND- 'A Musical History Playlist.

***Before I got in the tub I couldn't find Buddy. I went through the whole house and even in the closets and cabinets, but I couldn't find him. Finally, he came out from behind the box that contained the handwritten journal.

Began SHANE GILLIS on KFC Radio

Began 'LAST RAMPAGE' (Amazon Prime). The story of Gary Tison's prison break from an Arizona penitentiary in 1978. He enlisted the aid of his three sons and it's another film with the theme of a dad without any moral scruples. A 'B-Movie' based on a true story and well worth a look.  'Second Tier' actors work their craft and make it happen; with Robert Patrick, Heather Graham, John Heard, and Bruce Davison. I shut it down at 48 minutes.
