Up 530am: Partly cloudy & breezy with temps to upper 60's.
Watched Netflix disc 'THE NORTHMAN'. The most accurate and realistic movie of the Vikings ever made and in the bonus features they explain how the costumes and sets were based on actual museum artifacts of the 10th century. It is the tale of a boy who is heir to the throne but his uncle kills the king and claims the kingdom. The boy vows that he will reclaim his rightful inheritance and seek revenge; with Alexander Skarsgard, Nicole Kidman, Ethan Hawke, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Willem Dafoe. 5 wins & 56 nominations. '82' Metascore. The film takes place in an area that includes modern Scotland, Ukraine and Iceland and the film was shot in Hekla, Iceland.
Borrowed Audiobook-RUNNING THE LIGHT by Sam Tallent and SAM TALLENT: WAITING FOR DEATH TO CLAIM US- 45" documentary from Hoopla.
1040am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then walk downtown to mail back the disc. I also want to check out access to the pot shop. I recently read that due to construction there isn't ample parking and you must get parking validated at the hotel lot.
1130am: To downtown. Out & back Edwards. Pot shop parking looks OK. They're doing roadwork on 7th st...TWO HOURS; listened to audiobook 'RUNNING THE LIGHT' by Sam Tallent. The book is similar to Hunter S. Thompson and the audiobook is read by a bunch of different funny stand-up comedians (Bert Kriescher/ Ari Shaffir/ Marc Maron/ etc).
Finished 'WOMEN WITH MEN'; the first of 3 novellas in the anthology by Richard Ford.
3pm: Preparing to mow the lawn and all done (and a little trimming) by 4pm.
440pm: In the tub [The Ringmaster by M. West or 'The Monkey Wrench Gang' by E. Abbey] and listening to MILES DAVIS- 'Champions'/ 'Double Image'; THE HEARTBREAKERS - 'Live AT Mothers'; L7- 'Detroit Live'; MUDHONEY- 'Since We've Become Translucent'.
More of RYAN SICKLER on 'Hey Babe!' YouTube.
Watched a 45" documentary, 'SAM TALLENT: WAITING FOR DEATH TO CLAIM US' (Hoopla). Basically he does his act in venues that are like those in 'RUNNING THE LIGHT'. Being a comedian is NOT an easy life.
More of 'THE DIPLOMAT' (Netflix). I watched the complete episode #5. This whole series is exceptionally well written and I'm gonna miss it when it's gone. Three episodes remain.
Possible Plane for Tomorrow: Edibles and then off to the Rochester library book sale.
