Sa 4/15/23- Buddy Sick
720am (B). 925am (1-SB). 1035am (1-B). 225pm (2-B). 435pm (2-B). 710pm (2-B).
Up 545am: Partly cloudy with temps to about 80 and scattered thunderstorms this evening and tonight.
***Buddy threw up on his rug by the breezeway about a half hour after he ate. He seemed pretty normal at 7am so I fed him some more '9 Lives' Fish and he was sick again by 730am. He ate and kept it down by the time I left for Ace and seemed back to normal.
Finished Netflix disc 'ELVIS'. A strange film that is more about Colonel Parker than Elvis, but I guess Parker's character did narrate the film. Austin Butler, the American actor (NICKELODEON) who plays Elvis, looked so much like the real Elvis Presley that witchcraft might have been involved.
10am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to head to the Ace on Wabash to get an adapter for the hedge trimmer and maybe some plants for the front yard.
Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps
1050am: To Ace ($44): 20 ft extension cord & a six pack of planting flowers. When I returned I planted the flowers in the front planters and got the hedge trimmer to work. Now I should be able to get to the prairie grasses at the far end of the property.
12pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished Netflix series about the Boston Marathon Bombing; finished RYAN SICKLER on SKEPTIC TANK.
Reading 'MEXICO SET'
345pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began STAVROS HALKIAS on THEO VON.
440pm: In the tub with 'MEXICO SET' and listening to ART BLAKEY Playlist; SOLOMON BURKE Playlist; JETHRO TULL Playlist.
More STAVROS HALKIAS on THEO VON
Began 'THICKER THAN WATER' (Netflix). My Netflix algorhythm said that there was a 99% chance that I would like this series. I don't think I've ever gotten that high of a percentage but I do like this show. A female journalist from Algeria living in a Parisian suburb tries to make her mark in TV news. However, she gets involved with thugs because her brother was dealing drugs, but as the title implies, 'blood is thicker than water'. Shut it down 9 minutes into episode #3.
