Up 515am: Partly cloudy with light showers this afternoon with temps to mid 70's.

***When I booted up I was getting a prompt to 'restart' because updates were waiting to be installed. It only took a few minutes but it's kind of unusual.

 Watched Netflix disc 'THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK'. The film is the backstory of Tony Soprano and it's told from the perspective of a dead guy who Tony has strangled sometime in the future, but this incident isn't covered in this film.  Joey Diaz has several scenes in the movie and his character is murdered with a shot to the head; with Alessandro Nivola, Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga (nearly unrecognizable under a ton of makeup), Ray Liotta (he plays two roles- a character and his brother), and Michael Gandolfini (the son of James Gandolfini who played Tony Soprano on the series).

10am: PC is 'Off' and preparing to walk to Walgreens to mail back the disc. 

1040am:  To Walgreens; Out Fairway, Monroe,  back Lawrence, Kenyon...25 minutes. 

1145am:  FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT;  began MA. PAT on J.R.E.; finished the blind wrestler on HONEY DEW;  began JOSH BLUE on HONEY DEW. 

Read/ skimmed to the end of  'BLOOD FEUD' by Lisa Alther. Dozens of names and hundreds of relationships and it's all based on speculation. I was surprised at all of the litigation that was involved in the feuds. The real villains were the coal and the timber industry.  

***330pm: picked up mower: $100 and he'll have it back by Friday or sooner. He knew exactly what happened with the disconnect of the cable and the 'suicide switch' and had it together in ninety seconds.  He also noticed that I might have overfilled the oil or I tilted the deck too far. He'll do a tuneup and sharpen the blade. 

350pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began YKWD- List, Soder, BARGATZE, Gomez. 

445pm: In the tub to begin 'DARK SACRED NIGHT' by MICHAEL CONNELLY and listening to ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO- 'Sirius Calling'/ Playlist; ISLEY BROTHERS- 'Best of'; NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS.

More of YKWD.

Began 'MUTED' (Netflix). I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #2. Another very good Spanish series by the same production company that made the series about the restaurant owner who tries to stop gang activity on his block.  He has a girlfriend from South America that's trying to fit into Spanish life and shake the stigma of being from 'over there'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
