Up 530am: Bright & sunny with temps to about 90. No rain in the forecast for at least a week and I don't think I have ever seen the lawns so dry. Some of the state owned grounds around the capitol are white instead of green. 

Watched 'DELICIOUS' (Amazon Prime).  The film is set in rural France right before the kickoff of the French Revolution in 1789. It is the story of a French cook in the employ of a Duke who decides to develop a new concept- 'The Restaurant'. A feast for the eyes and the film offers an interesting theory of how the business of food and drink began; with Gregory Gadebois and Isabelle Carre. Directed by Eric Besnard.

Finished 'THE MULE' (Netflix).  Although the film's message is that change is possible at any age, some scenes show Eastwood entirely too frail and he seemed far too old for the part. However, I checked the Internet and the film is based on an actual drug runner and the real 'TaTa' was 87 years old. A star-studded cast--Clint Eastwood, Alison Eastwood, Dianne Wiest, Taissa Farmiga, Laurence Fishburne, Bradley Cooper, and Michael Pena. Directed by Clint Eastwood."58" Metascore.

1140am:  FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; Watched the first episode of Season 3 'CATCHING KILLERS' (Netflix)- A profile of 'The Railroad Killer', a Hispanic serial killer who hopped trains and murdered people in the Southwest during the late 1990'; lmore of DUNCAN TRUSSELL on THEO VON.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
