Watched Netflix disc 'DON'T WORRY DARLING'. An interesting reworking of the themes of 'THE STEPFORD WIVES' only in this iteration the setting is in a kind of 'Sims -Virtual Reality'. The 'how & why' is never explained, but an AI designer has created a program that offers an opportunity to live in the patriarchal and orderly society of America during the 1950's. One woman decides that she wants out; with Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, and Olivia Wilde. Directed by Olivia Wilde. 8 wins & 17 nominations. "48" Metascore.

Watched a couple of YouTube videos about the film. 

1045am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit the Wabash PO/ Planet Fitness. I'll read more of 'CONFEDERATES' and leave noonish.

Began 'THE PATIENTS OF DR. GARCIA' (Netflix). I shut it down 2 minutes into episode #2. Set in the Spanish Civil War of 1936 where 'Republicans' (Leftists) battled 'Nationalists' who controlled a totalitarian system under Francisco Franco that was supported and aided by Hitler & Mussolini. This is 10 one hour chapters and I hope the intensity holds up because so far, it's a keeper.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
