Watched 'THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING' (Amazon Prime).  A woman buys a vintage bottle from a second hand store and soon learns that she has a real genie (Djinn) in a bottle. A complicated story line but it might be about a woman who as an adult recreates her childhood 'imaginary friend'; with Tilda Swinton & Idris Elba. Directed by George Miller (MAD MAX, THE ROAD WARRIOR). "60" Metascore.

Like humans, they are accountable for their deeds, can be either believers or unbelievers; depending on whether they accept God's guidance." 

Watched more of 'DRUGS AS WEAPONS AGAINST US' (Amazon Prime). It's a documentary that I had begun many weeks ago about the US government's involvement in the drug trade and the history of control and execution of America's leftist political leaders. Because of the self-righteous and moralistic tone of the documentary it seems almost like conspiracy theory or political propaganda.

***at 1055am a couple of women representing the Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on the door to deliver a pamphlet. My first visitors in years.

11am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit Esporta for the workout.

1155am:  To Esporta...45" Precor.  45"Treadmill.  30"Cross.  30" Recumbent Bike.  30" Precor; watched the complete film 'THE BATTERY' (Amazon Prime)- Two baseball players are stuck in Connecticut during the Zombie Apocalypse. Droll & clever but very low budget.; finished TODD RUNDGREN on WTF.

440pm:  In the tub with 'BLOOD HUNT' and listening to SPOOKY TOOTH; THE SMITHS;  JOE BONAMASSA; JOHN HIATT.

Finished 'MIXED BY ERRY' (Netflix).  At one time these three counterfitters were the biggest record producers in Italy with over 150 million cassettes sold. I didn't understand much of the details in the film. One Italian lira is only the tiniest fraction of a US dollar. 

Began 'SUITS' (Netflix).  Well dressed business guys in NYC banter & cajole with lots of witty repartee. There were eight seasons of this series and I've never heard of it. I shut it down 17 minutes into the eighty minute pilot.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Th 10/2/25- WYNK

 Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
