Up 515am: Bright & sunny with temps to just above 90. Temps to the 90's through Sunday with no rain in sight.

Watched 'DILEMMA' (Netflix). The dilemma is whether you should tell a best friend that his partner is cheating on him or keep the inflammatory news to yourself. The insight offered is no better than you would glean from an average TV sitcom; with Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Jennifer Connelly, Winona Ryder, Channing Tatum, and Queen Latifah. Directed by Ron Howard and filmed in Chicago.

Finished 'LIVING' (Netflix). I was expecting so much more, but still worth a look if only to see Bill Nighy. Based on Akiro Kurosawa's film 'IKIRU'. This famous Japanese film can be streamed at KANOPY and it's now on My Watchlist.

Began 'SEX EDUCATION' (Netflix). A comedy about sexual ignorance in British secondary school. It's pretty daring, but I'm nor feeling it and I don't know if I'll be back for more. However, it does feature the cute &  seductive actress from 'LIVING'- Aimee Lou Wood. She was also born on February 3rd. 

1140am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. 

12pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched the new TUESDAYS WITH STORIES; more of ROSEANNE BARR on J.R.E.

More 'SUITS' (Netflix). This series is not great but well worth a look. It's all about 'Sleaze & Greed' in expensive suits and pricey haircuts and only the most cutting repartee.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
