Watched Netflix disc 'EMPIRE OF LIGHT'. The film is set in 1980 at a classy boardwalk cinema in Margate, England, on the country's far eastern shore. The middle aged white female manager develops a sexual relationship with a young black man who joins the staff at the theater. A touching love story that examines issues of class, ageism, race, and mental health; with Olivia Colman, Micheal Ward, Colin Firth, and Toby Jones. Nominated for 1 Oscar; 1 win & 34 nominations. "54" Metascore.

Watched 'ROBBING MUSSOLINI' (Netflix). Set in Milan, Italy during the final weeks of WWII a group of Resistance Fighters conspire to steal a truckload of gold from El Duce. The Stones 'Paint It Black' is used in the film and sung by a female torch singer (and over the final credits) and it took me a while to recognize the song. 

1120am: PC is "Off" and the plan is to walk to the Monroe PO to mail back the disc.

1210pm: Janny called to ask to stop by with some peaches. We talked for about 20 minutes in the kitchen.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
