Watched the Netflix disc 'SPOILER ALERT'.  It's a high quality gay love story with characters and a storyline that never becomes cliched. Two NYC men fall in love and create a relationship that's their own and not that of a typical gay movie couple. The film could have just been about their interesting relationship, but then one of them is diagnosed with incurable cancer and it becomes so much more but never (too) melodramatic; with Jim Parsons, Ben Aldridge, Bill Irwin, and Sally Field. One win & 6 nominations. "61" Metascore.  

Finished 'THE ENDLESS NIGHT' (Netflix).  The owners of Kiss and the band members were held responsible but the fire department and the city fathers have yet to be brought to justice.  I still think that there needs to be 'intent' to bump a manslaughter charge up to murder. 

I called Planet Fitness and the wifi is back to 100% so it's off to Wabash to mail back the disc and a Sunday afternoon workout.

 1210pm:  To Planet Fitness...45"Cross.  45"Treadmill.  30"Bike.  30"Treadmill.  30"Cross;  watched complete movie 'SHEPHERDS AND BUTCHERS' (Netflix)- South African prison guard murders seven blacks and his defense lawyer contends that his job as an executioner is his motive; with Steve Coogan. It seemed familiar because I had given it a 'thumbs up' when I saw it the first time, but it was worth another look; began MARK NORMAND on 'ARE YOU GARBAGE? '; a COLD CASE FILES (Netflix). A Florida man goes missing on a duck hunt and it's assumed that he drowned in a lake and gators ate him. Years later it's found that his best friend and his wife conspired to do him in and then split a million dollar insurance policy.

Finished MARK NORMAND on 'Are You Garbage?'

Began 'BLACK KNIGHT' (Netflix).  I shut it down 6 minutes into episode #2 and I'm not sure that I'll continue this one- 'First Responder' Super Heroes in a dystopian future on the Korean peninsula. 

           

***Buddy sick while I was downstairs but he ate his evening meal normally.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
