 Tu 7/25/23

655am (2-B). 1225pm (2-B). 430pm (2-B). 730pm (2-B).

Up 515am: The heat wave has arrived! Today will be sunny & temps to low 90's. It will be very humid and temps in the mid to upper 90's through next Sunday.

***I created a new 'Cheese Stands Alone' and I've got the old entry on the PC hard drive and the external drives (and maybe Dropbox).

Watched Netflix disc 'GREED'. A powerful satire about a kingpin of the British fashion industry. He is marketed as a 'self made man' but his money is all borrowed and he cheats his workers and pays no taxes. The reason the film works so well is that there are people on the Right of the political spectrum who could watch the film and see nothing wrong with this vile character; with Steve Coogan & Shirley Henderson. Directed by Michael Winterbottom.

More 'BURN DOWN THE HOUSE' (Netflix). I shut it down 4 minutes into episode #6. The plot thickens and the characters and their relationships are a bit confusing, but I'm still on board.

1150am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then head to the Monroe PO to mail back the disc. It's really heating up outside.

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps.

1240pm: It was so hot I hit the PO box at Walgreens instead of downtown...Westview,  across Monroe,  Walgreens PO, behind McD's to Washington, Adams, Lincoln, Wash.Pk northside,  Walnut,  Wash.Pk southside,  up the hill,  Parkview,  Fairway,  and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 45 MINUTES...BLACK CROWES,  BLUE CHEER. DUNCAN TRUSSELL on J.R.E.

Gave up on 'THE WRECK OF AGATHON' and began 'RANSOM' by JAY MCINERNEY

345pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began MARK NORMAND on THEO VON.

435pm: the tub with 'RANSOM' and listening to TY SEGALL- Singles; FLAMING LIPS Playlist; JOHNNY WINTER Playlist.

Watched a 30" YouTube video about a visit to a 'Beachy' Amish/ Mennonite community in Ohio.

More 'BURN THE HOUSE DOWN' (Netflix). I shut it down 3 minutes into episode #7. The old bitch admits that she 'did it'. I think that she's admitting to the arson, but there's almost an hour and a half left in the series. I wonder where it will go? The series is very 'soapy' but I think that it does offer a view into the Japanese psyche.
