Mo 7/31/23- Power Outage/ Buddy Sick

645am (2-B). 910am (2-B). 525pm (2-B).  750pm (2-B).

Up 525am: Partly sunny with temps to mid 80's.

As I was working on the PC and trying to select a Morning Movie, at 615am I heard a 'Bang' and the power was 'Off'.  I decided to walk to Washington Park after I left word that the power was off at 940 Westview.

655am- 840am: Parkview, Wash. Pk southside, Wiggins, Outer Park, Lincoln, Wash. Pk across the panhandle, northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...JOHN MAYALL- 'The Hard Road'; EAGLES OF DEATH METAL; DUNCAN TRUSSELL on J.R.E.

***Buddy seems normal and this includes his usual voracious appetite.

No problems with the PC or resetting the clock on the microwave.

Watched 'BIRD BOX BARCELLONA' (Netflix). Otherworldly beings have come to Earth and if you look upon them you are driven to suicide. Those that survive become 'seers' and work with the extraterrestrials to get the remaining humans to open their eyes.  A little hokey, but worth a look. The film is a 'revisit' of an American film that starred Sandra Bullock and John Malkovich. Set and filmed in Barcelona, Spain which is the capital of the Catalonia region; Montjuic Castle.

Watched an 'Ending Explained' YouTube video and I didn't miss much but learned about the original film.

Watched a fifteen minute episode of 'Getting Coffee with Will Ferrell and Jerry Seinfeld'. Ferrell did an impression of a cat playing with cat toys as his audition for SNL. I found the ninety second bit on YouTube and it was hysterical.

Wrote Chat

1pm: PC is 'Off' and will read for a while and then hit the treadmill later for maybe an hour.

4pm: FOUR MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished TOM SEGURA on 'Blocks'; began STEVEN SODERBERGH on WHISKEY GINGER.

NO WEIGHTS

530pm:  In the tub with 'BUTTERFIELD 8' and listening to TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND- 'Everybody's Talkin''; LITTLE FEAT Live Holland 1976.

Finished STEVEN SODERBERGH on WHISKEY GINGER.

Began 'BELASCOARAN' (Netflix). I shut it down 54 minutes into the first episode.  It's a funny and sardonic tale of a man in the 1970's who leaves the corporate world to become a private detective. Shot to make it look like the 70's in Mexico City, Mexico.
