Su 8/6/23- Buddy Sick
720am (2-B). 10am (1-B). 1120am (1-B). 135pm (1-B). 6pm (2-B). 755pm (2-B).
Up 510am: Cloudy with thunderstorms predicted for later this afternoon with temps to upper 70's. "There is a possible risk of severe weather today..." Wind, tornadoes and hail are possible. Look out for large hail." WTF!- Banner on The Weather Channel this morning. (9pm: We had some heavy rains early in the evening but nothing as frightening (yellow to orange to red) as predicted on the radar map this afternoon).
Did the Weekly Cleaning/ Mopping
***755am: Buddy threw up on the cabinet by his breezeway mat. No sign of hairballs so I don't know why. No food for at least an hour, but he is up and walking around and seems OK.
Watched Netflix disc 'CLERKS III'. The final chapter of Kevin Smith's 'Clerks Saga'...I guess. How many Americans work at minimum wage jobs with nothing to show for it at the end of their 'careers'? Are there more people today in that predicament than years gone by? Kind of depressing..."Shut the fuck up, it's night time!!!"
***Buddy sick again at 940am. Just throwing up clear liquid near the computer table.
945am: PC is 'Off' and will run the disc over to the Walgreens PO box and then back for more entertainment.
1005- 1020am: To Walgreens PO & Back...FREE/ LED ZEPPELIN
Watched 'FATALE' (Netflix). A somewhat clever reworking of the adage, 'whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas'. A guy hooks up with a woman in Vegas and he believes that they were having a one night stand but his new lady friend wants more. His Vegas lover turns out to be an LA detective and she reveals to him that his wife is cheating on him with his business partner and best friend. The lady cop kills the wife and friend, and in return she has him kill her ex husband so that she can gain custody of her daughter; with Hilary Swank, Michael Ealy, Mike Colter, Damaris Lewis, and Tyrin Turner. "42" Metascore- although the film is kind of clunky, I still thought it was worth a look.
***Peter Pan Crunchy Peanut Butter arrived and was not worth fourteen dollars because the count was more than a little light.
115pm: PC is 'Off' and time to hit the treadmill.
140pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished 'BLOCKS' with very funny chubby lesbian stand up comedian; began THEO VON with an inarticulate black rapper.
Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps
Reading 'DARK MATTER'
515pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished THEO VON; began KEVIN POLLAK on WHISKEY GINGER.
610pm: In the tub with 'DARK MATTER' and listening to THE KINKS KRONIKLES shuffle; MOBY GRAPE- '20 Granite Creek'; HUMBLE PIE- 'Eat It'.
More of KEVIN POLLAK on WHISKEY GINGER.
More 'SPOTLESS' (Netflix). I shut it down 14 minutes into episode #3. I really like this series and the two brothers are believable but not like anybody else.
