Mo 10/16/23- Pot Shop: 8am-815am

Up 640am: Bright & sunny with temps to about 60.

8am-835am: To the pot store for an 8am-815am appointment and home by 835am. Lots of traffic downtown and many streets are under repair. Next time, I'll go on Saturday; two jars of GEORGIA PIE (3.5g), one jar of GARLIC AND BANANAS POPCORN (7g). I redeemed five dollars and the total was $176.

Watched 'BLACKkKLANSMAN' (Netflix). The first black cop  hired in Colorado Springs, Colorado sees the KKK as a threat to the community and 'joins' the Klan by phone.  He claims to be a white man on recruitment phone calls with the 'whites only' organization and a white undercover officer is sent on face to face meetings with Klansmen. A very unsettling film and shows how racial hate can be 'sweetened' with half-truths and false conclusions for maximum effect; with John David Washington (playing Ron Stallworth who wrote the book about his time with the Colorado Springs police department), Adam Driver, Topher Grace, Alec Baldwin, and Harry Bellefonte. Directed by Spike Lee; Won 1 Oscar; 46 wins & 214 nominations. "83" Metascore.   

Running behind and I should make a call for the health insurance enrollment very soon (to get it out of the fucking way) and am very anxious about the upcoming driving test. I've got some YouTube videos about 'behind the wheel' in Illinois. 

1235pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do Five Miles on the treadmill and then use the downstairs PC for brushing up for the license examination. 

105pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched the first hour of 'SNOWMAN' (Netflix).  Michael Fassbender plays an alcoholic serial killer that builds snowmen to mark his victims. Silly, but a feast for the eyes; began BIG JAY OAKERSON & DAN SODER on 'Somethings Burning podcast. 

I spent the afternoon watching driving videos on YouTube to cram for the behind the wheel test.

515pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began a MINDFUL METAL JACKET.

***Janny's call about "it's not 75, it's 79- new Illinois law"; almost 30 minutes. I'm running so far behind chasing down this amendment to the license law. I sent her a link to an article that states that the changes end on Oct. 1st because they want to study the impact of the change. 

605pm: In the tub with 'RICH MAN POOR MAN' and listening to JOHN MAYALL Playlist; BAND OF GYPSYS. {Only two beers and no Canada Dry- no time}

Watched the end of 'THE SNOWMAN' (Netflix). I remember that I got the book by this author. The movie was very confusing, but it seemed that there was a decent serial killer genre movie (Scandinavian Noir) that was just badly presented; with Michael Fassbender, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, J.K. Simmons, and Toby Jones. The novel was written by Jo Nesbo.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
