Watched 'THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES' (Amazon Prime). An Argentinian prosecutor has retired and is writing a novel about a cold case that he was involved in twenty years previously. A woman was raped and murdered. The killer was caught and then set free because he was a psychopath and very useful to the authoritarian government. 'The Reveal' is that the husband of the murdered woman kidnapped the killer and kept him imprisoned on his remote estate. The husband said that he didn't believe in the death penalty because it's too easy and life in captivity would be worse. A death sentence allows the killer of his wife gets to take a nap and that's it. The husband says that he would take that option because his grief is overwhelming. This was a quality film and one of the first 'big films' out of Argentina. Set in Buenos Aires, Argent.

Around 1030am a power wash truck began cleaning the house across the street.  Their house looked fine to me before today's work but I guess that an aesthetic urgency is in the eye of the beholder.

1155am: PC is 'Off' and the plan for today is to do the weights and then hit Planet Fitness. Tomorrow, I'll brush up on the license test and then head over late morning. It shouldn't be as busy.

It's a 'paranormal scam' and I don't think that any reasonable person would believe anything offered by the defense; more of J.R.E with sacred rites guy; more of '1994' (Netflix); watched 'THE MURDER NETWORK' (Amazon Prime)- A profile of Marcel Petiot, a French serial killer in Nazi occupied France. He was apprehended burning numerous bodies in the basement of his Parisian apartment. He was caught, tried, convicted and was sentenced to death by guillotine. However,  he insisted that he was part of The Resistance and all of his victims were enemies of France. 

550pm: In the tub with 'RICH MAN POOR MAN' and listening to JOHN PAUL JONES- 'The Thunderthief'/ 'Zooma'; MOUNTAIN 'Live'.

Began 'BLANQUITA' (Netflix). A young woman goes public about the rapes, killings, and abductions that went on at a group home for children in Chile. This is based on real incidents.  I shut it down at 58 minutes with 39 left to go.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
