***Shaved my long mustache. Why? Because it was there.
Watched 'REPTILE' (Netflix). A sultry realtor is murdered while showing a home and there are no shortage of suspects. She was about to go to the feds about police corruption within the department and dirty detectives had her stabbed to death. The bent cops were using her husband's realty company to launder money they made selling heroin stolen from the police evidence room; with Benicio Del Toro, Justin Timberlake, Eric Bogosian, Alicia Silverstone, Domenick Lombardozzi (THE WIRE), and Michael Pitt. I thought this was a fresh take on the Police Thriller genre and I would have rated it much higher- "53" Metascore. Filmed in and around Atlanta, Georgia.
I watched a YouTube video about the film.
Finished 'THURSDAY'S WIDOWS' (Netflix). I thought that there would be a surprise ending, but it was simply a suicide pact by some of the men and that was where the film was always headed. I'll bet that the novel is intricate and insightful and the film was a decent attempt to convey this complexity.
Began 'THE INNOCENT' (Netflix). I had seen episode #1 sometime in the past, but I remembered nada and I'm surprised I didn't continue with it. Based on a novel written by Harlan Coben set in New York, New Jersey and Nevada. The series is set in Spain and Barcelona is the main location.
115pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the treadmill.
140pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; TUESDAYS WITH STORIES; more of DAN SODER on BERTCAST
Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps
Reading 'THE COLOR OF LIGHT'
455pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more of DAN SODER on BERTCAST.
555pm: In the tub with 'THE COLOR OF LIGHT' and listening to GARY MOORE- The Montreux Collection'/ 'Blues For Greeny'; BUDDY MILES Playlist; BONNIE RAITT- 'Road Tested'.
More 'THE INNOCENT' (Netflix). I shut it down 20 minutes into episode #3. Episode #2 did not connect to the first episode until the final scene. I was wondering if the series had turned into an anthology of short pieces by Harlan Coben. The mystery is really cooking and this might be the best Harlan Coben that I've seen. I know he's got some good adaptations in French.
