Xmas shopping at Amazon for the kids. It took less than twenty minutes. So much easier than wandering around Walmart in an angry stupor. I love Amazon!

***9am- Toilet problems at the house across the street with the two girls. A plumbing truck from Ewing (New Berlin) pulled up and mom left to drop the kids at school. Then, a plumber and helper looked like they were reaming out some kind of blockage in a toilet on the front lawn. In a few minutes they carried the toilet back into the house.  

Watched 'HEAVEN' (Hoopla-borrowed yesterday). It was like watching a Fable or a Moral Tale. An English woman plants a bomb to kill a well connected drug dealer in an Italian city. A cleaning lady inadvertently moves the IED and four innocent people die. The English woman is apprehended by the police and her interpreter falls in love with her. They flee the police station and seem to be resigned to their fate and they take to the hills. Later, they steal a helicopter and fly off to heaven...I guess. Beautiful cinematography; with Cate Blanchett & Giovanni Ribisi. Directed by Tom Tykwer. 6 wins &7 nominations. "68" Metascore. Filmed in Montepulciano, Siena, Tuscany, Italy and Turin, Italy.

Watched 'THE MINUS MAN' (Hoopla).  A very strange film about a serial killer who drifts from place to place. He uses a flask of poisoned Amarette to kill people he knows and some that he has only just met; with Owen Wilson, Sheryl Crow, Dwight Yoakam, Dennis Haysbert, Mercedes Ruehl, Brian cox, and Janeane Garafalo. "56" Metascore.

From a review by Roger Ebert:"the man of unspeakable evil, moving blandly through small-town society". I shut it down with 37 minutes left and I'll finish this tonight.  

1145am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta. I'll stop at Brewer to pick up the cat food on the way home.

I had no idea that there was still controversy about who really killed Bobby Kennedy. So much of the evidence was destroyed by the authorities. They wanted one man to be responsible and no lingering doubts like the JFK assassination.  

To Brewer to pick up two cans of 'kidney friendly' canned cat food. A can the size of a can of tuna is just over four dollars.

More 'CRIMINAL CODE' (Netflix). I shut it down 23 minutes into episode #4. This level of criminal sophistication will be coming to America very soon.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
