 Up 730am: {Thanks, Buddy!} Mostly sunny & breezy with a high of only ten degrees. We got between 2 and 3 inches on Westview last night.

8am- 820am: Shoveled the walk & driveway. 

Called Brewer to schedule Buddy's kidney checkup: Mo 1/29/24 at 1130am. 

Watched 'THE WEEKEND AWAY' (Netflix). A 'Sub-B Movie' about two young women who indulge in a 'girls weekend' in a Croatia seaside village. One girl is murdered and her friend is charged. At first it looked like one of the cops was the killer and then we learned that the husband was having an affair with her best friend and he did the deed. Silly, but almost worth a look for the locations in Split, Croatia.  The film was shot in Split and Zagreb, Croatia.

Began 'THE AMERICAN MEME' (Netflix). I shut it down at 31 minutes and I'll finish on the treadmill. "Privacy is Dead. Live With It". 

***1150am: The old couple across the street had their driveway plowed and the end result was substandard. I wonder how much that set them back?

12pm: PC is 'Off' and it's another treadmill day.

1230pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished 'THE AMERICAN MEME' (Netflix); more of SHANE GILLIS on THEO VON. 

No Weights 

Reading a bunch of junk before I settled on some Lawrence Block.

450pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more of  JIM BREUER on J.R.E  

550pm: In the tub with the first MATTHEW SCUDDER novel and listening to KING CRIMSON 'Best of'; RENAISSANCE- 'Academy of Music 1974'.

More 'THE GOLDEN HOUR' (Netflix). I shut it down 5 minutes into episode #5. This series is the best!

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
