Up 555am: Cloudy with temps to 41. 

Watched 'THE PASSENGER' (Amazon Prime).  It's about a hostage situation that occurs at a fast food joint in the middle of the American wasteland. A bully forces a coworker to eat a mouldy cheeseburger, and another member of the staff goes to his car, gets a shotgun and kills three employees. He takes 'cheeseburger guy' as his passenger and they go on a kind of 'bloody moral reclamation'. For a low-budget Independent filmed near New Orleans, LA with no movie stars this was definitely a cut above. "62" Metascore.

Watched 'BORN IN CHICAGO' (Amazon Prime). An excellent history of the Chicago style of Electric Blues and how it caught fire with college aged whites by the mid to late sixties. I didn't realize that Steve Miller was such an integral part of that scene. {Dan Akroyd narrates the documentary}. 

1130am: The plan is to do The Weights and then hit Washington Park. Although it hasn't rained in a while, it's been so humid that water is still standing. I had planned to rake the front lawn of gumballs, but the grass is still too wet.

Parkview,  Wash.Pk southside road, Walnut,  northside road,  up the hill road,  Parkview,  Fairway,  and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 30 MINUTES; ALLMAN BROTHERS 25th Anniversary Live; finished JOEY DIAZ on J.R.E & began a female Phd of Religion talks about UFO's on J.R.E.

545pm: In the tub and finished 'THE GUARDIANS' and continued 'FUNERAL IN BERLIN' & listening to HOT TUNA- 'Best of'; PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND- 'East West'.

More 'DETECTIVE FORST' (Netflix). I shut it down 20 minutes into episode #4.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
