Watched 'THE CIRCLE' (Netflix). A morality play about 'Privacy vs. Full Disclosure' set in Silicon Valley.  A young woman hires on to an 'Apple-like' company and realizes that unlimited sharing of personal experiences can be rewarding and enriching, but it can also create an environment that fosters totalitarianism. The question at the end of the film: If workers are 'on camera' during all of their workday, why can't the bosses be just as transparent? The hidden 'Waste & Theft' occurring at the top has a more negative effect than anything that the workers might do; with 

Watched 'OPEN WIDE' (Netflix). A father and son have new and controversial ideas about the practice of orthodontics. Is it a scam or a legitimate method? After watching the film I am not sure. In the opening scene the father says that beauty is not subjective and that there is a definite standard of facial beauty that applies to all human beings. How can you possibly compare or judge a dominantly Oriental to a Nordic face? This is something straight out of the Eugenics playbook and seems to be an obvious falsehood. However, it was still an interesting documentary because the subjects are quirky and interesting even though the premise is questionable. 

1210pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit the treadmill because the storm front should arrive around 130pm and last through the evening.

Began 'DETECTIVE FORST' (Netflix). I shut it down 21 minutes into episode #2. Set near Zakopane, Poland which is in the southern part of the country near the border with Slovakia. I've never seen this part of Poland. It looks kind of like Colorado, only with quaint mountain hamlets. According to the Internet there are great hiking trails in this area. The Tatra Mountains are in the Western Carpathians along the border between Slovakia and Poland

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
