Watched 'SALTBURN' (Amazon Prime).  A brilliant and 'dark as night' satire that really turns evil in the final act. A young lad goes to Oxford and tries to ingratiate with English High Society. His target family lives in a sprawling mansion and they are rich and powerful, yet clinically insane; with Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, and Richard E. Grant. Pike & Grant deliver the best portrayal of upper class nitwits that I've ever seen. Equal parts silly & sinister.  "The 3 Things I Learned In Boarding School: 1) Latin. 2) Water Polo. 3) Child Abuse.". What is a spag bol in British slang? Spaghetti Bolognese in British English. "61" Metascore; 3 wins & 45 nominations.

Finished 'THE SPIDER-MAN OF PARIS' (Netflix)- Vjeran Tomic's (Spider-Man) fence claims that he destroyed the five paintings from the art museum theft. Nobody believes him. 

1130am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk outside after doing the weights.

More 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix). I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #8. The 'Hot Girl' overdosed on MDMA and champagne and her boyfriend could barely carry her out of the surf. And, the old beach bar owner is back on the sauce. A crazy soap opera and I hope there is another season.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
