Up 615am: Partly cloudy with temps to mid 30's. Frigid weather is on the way for the weekend. The first real coldspell of the year with temps in the teens and lower.  

***I changed the furnace filter and it hadn't been changed since last January 22nd. 

***Buddy was sick very early this morning in the living room near the phone charger, but he seems normal. 

Watched 'QUEEN & SLIM' (Tubi). A Tinder date turns into a nightmare when a black couple are forced to flee after killing a cop in self-defense at a traffic stop. The couple become social media sensations as they run from Ohio to Florida, and hope to catch a flight to Cuba. But in the end, they are gunned down by police on the tarmac. A great Independent film; with Daniel Kaluuya, Jodie Turner-Smith, Bokeem Woodbine, Chloe Sevigny, and Flea."74" Metascore; 13 wins & 44 nominations.  

Finished 'YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT: A Twin Experiment' (Netflix). A plant based Vegan diet adds to longer cellular life (you'll live longer) and lowers 'bad' cholesterol which causes strokes and high blood pressure.*** Mozzarella cheese is the most widely consumed cheese on the planet due to the popularity of pizza***.  

1145am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta. I want to switch my membership to United Healthcare.

"51" Metascore; 2 wins & 22 nominations. I was surprised that this was rated so highly; I finished SEAN STRICKLAND on THEO VON;  more 'FOOL ME ONCE' (Netflix).

555pm: In the tub with 'THE WINDCHIME LEGACY' and listening to FLEETWOOD MAC- 'Mystery To Me'; CHICAGO- 'Guitar of TERRY KATH'.

Began NICK SWARDSON on THEO VON.

More 'FOOL ME ONCE' (Netflix). I shut it down 20 minutes into episode #6. The black detective has just learned that his loss of consciousness is not temporary. He is going to die soon.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
