Up 630am: Sunny & breezy with temps to upper 20's and the wind made it feel much colder.

***Aprehensive about Buddy.

Watched 'SECRET OBSESSION' (Netflix). Another clinker that no one over the age of seven could possibly believe. A man is obsessed with a woman from work. We don't learn the details of his attraction, but he takes her to a remote stately mansion. She has lost her memory because he botched her kidnapping and she was run over by a passing motorist. After committing numerous felonies the guy still can't make her remember things the way he wants her to; with Brenda Song, Mike Vogel, and Dennis Haysbert. The film was set in California, but shot near Boulder, Colorado. {IMDB says the film was shot in Pomona, CA and Malibu, CA, but this has got to be a mistake. The only saving grace of the film was the mountainous scenery and that is definitely NOT Malibu, California}.  

Finished 'THE JOURNALIST' (Netflix).

Buddy Sick/ Better- Buddy was sick a couple of times, but no lethargy.  

No dice sign up- I tried to have 'Josh' sign in with the new insurance, but he was unable to do it.

Wedgewood call- I called to update Buddy's medication and they called me back while I was working out, but it went to voicemail so I didn't notice. When I got home I repeated the process and they called me back.

Brewer call- I called the vet to make sure that they OK the prescription update. 

545pm: In the tub with 'REDEMPTION' and listening to 

GRAHAM PARKER- 'Best of'; ELVIS COSTELLO- 'Early Stuff; FLEETWOOD MAC- 'Nothing To Me'/ 'Kiln House'.

Began 'COUNTRY CLUB ADJACENT' with TODD GLASS

Began 'THE GOLDEN HOUR' (Netflix). I shut it down 16 minutes into episode #2. The series features 'Terrorism' by a runaway bus in a crowded open-air market. Very scary and this looks like a hot series from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
