Watched 'THE BEAST' (Netflix).  An Italian ex-Special Forces soldier suffering from PTSD is estranged from his family. When his young daughter is kidnapped, he springs into action to save the day. The film checks all the boxes for generic 'Violent/ Savior Dad' and comes off as 'average' as can be. Filmed in the sleazier areas of Rome, Italy. 

Finished 'DEADWIND' (Netflix). One of the top cops in the Helsinki police department is revealed as the serial killer and provides a less than satisfying ending. He slaughtered a couple of dozen low- level dealers in Finland and Estonia. I will definitely start season 3 in a few weeks and I've left a flagged note in the 'Amazon Series- Ended But Not Forgotten' file. 

I finished episode #2 of 'BOY SWALLOWS THE UNIVERSE' (Netflix). A dramedy about a lower-class Australian family supported by the dad's petty drug dealing. The film has a very strange tone and concerns one brother who doesn't speak and a much  younger brother who is very bright. Set in Darra, Brisbane in the 1980's. I'll give this series another shot. It's adapted from a semi-autobiographical novel by Trent Dalton.

***Made an appointment for oil change and tire rotation for Wednesday, 2/14 at 1pm.

More 'BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE' (Netflix). Set in Darra which is a south-western suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I shut it down 17 minutes into episode #4.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
