Watched 'WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU' (Amazon Prime). Brian Goodman grew up during the mid 1990's in South Boston and the film is a memoir of his exploits with the Irish Mob and his intractable problems with family and addiction; with Ethan Hawke, Mark Ruffalo, Amanda Peet, and Donnie Wahlberg. This film feels honest and authentic and would be a great selection for a film festival.  "71" Metascore... A character walks in on some people sitting in a living room getting stoned- "It's like a morgue in here. I wanna be dead like you".

Finished 'BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE' (Netflix). The silent brother saw Eli yawning his head off against a background of stars and suggested that he'd bitten off more than he could chew, or as he put it....Boy Swallows Universe. I don't know why I liked this so much, but it most definitely had 'heart'. Also, the film series has great music by 80's bands.

Began 'TROLLEY' (Netflix). I shut it down 4 minutes into episode #2. It's so Korean that I don't really understand the social interaction. It's most definitely a foreign film. Filmed in Seoul Special City.
