 Su 2/18/24

750am (2-B). 1215pm (2-B). 535pm (2-B). 815pm (2-B).

Up 620am: Bright & sunny with temps almost to 40.

Did the Weekly Cleaning and removed the electric blanket. According to the long range forecast, the worst of the winter weather has passed.

Watched 'DESPERATION ROAD' (Tubi). A young man is fresh out of prison on a vehicular manslaughter charge. He killed a man while driving drunk.  Later he meets the woman who was at the scene of the accident and she has just killed a cop. It's a crazy story, but almost believable and the production was a cut above; with Garrett Hedlund, Willa Fitzgerald, Ryan Hurst, Woody McClain, and Mel Gibson. Set in Mississippi and filmed near Louisville, Kentucky.

Finished 'LITTLE NICHOLA: Life of a Scoundrel' (Netflix)- I still don't understand his charges, but he will appeal to the Spanish Supreme Court and lots of high ranking officials who were his associates have been sentenced to prison. My take-away seems to be that Spain probably has far too many secret police.

1130am: PC is 'Off' and it's another day on the treadmill. It's still too cold for any significant melting, but it's going to be almost 60 degrees by Wednesday.

1220pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began 'KING OF CLONES' (Netflix)- Another huckster who hoodwinked an entire country. Ten minutes left and I might not finish; more 'Garbage Guys' on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

Reading JOHN O'HARA anthology

445pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began CHRIS DISTEFANO on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

540pm: In the tub with JOHN O'HARA anthology and listening to GREGG ALLMAN Playlist; BAD COMPANY- '10 From 6'; FREE- 'Wishing Well'.

More of CHRIS DISTEFANO on 'We Might Be Drunk'.

Began 'BABY BANDITO' (Netflix). A kid from the slums finds a notebook detailing an armed car robbery at the Santiago airport. He uses the notes to do the deed. This is a hard premise to swallow, but the series is 'slightly' based on a real incident...Poster in hero's bedroom: "No Fame, No Glory". I shut it down 24 minutes into episode #2.
