 Fr 3/8/24- Buddy Sick

{610am: 1 gummy}. 725am (2-B). 820am (1-SB). (1055am: 1 smaller gummy}. 210pm (2-B). 540pm (2-B). 815pm (2-B).

Up 6am: Rain last night and will continue through Friday evening with temps to mid 50's.

***645am: Buddy got sick in the living room while I was typing. I opened a new can of Friskies and he was sick again at 755am. No food again until at least 9am. OK- 920am.

Watched 'HAMSUN' (Kanopy). What it's like to be on the wrong side politically when the 'enemy' assumes control. A powerful film about Knut Hamsun, the Danish poet who felt that Hitler's most important objective was that Western Europe must become independent of British influence and that Norway would be an important partner in this Germanic reign. Hamsun agreed with Hitler's goal of a Europe dominated by Germany, but he was against The Fuhrer's methods. Hamsun's wife was extremely pro-Nazi, but they fell out because she thought that he had robbed her of her 'true' life. He was out galavanting and became Norway's premier poet, while she was left to raise their children. She wanted more control over her life and saw Naziism as pro-female. In the final act, it becomes a kind of a love story between Hamsun and his wife. I really liked this one; with Max von Sydow. 9 wins & 1 nomination.

***When I took the second gummy from the weed container I didn't check the closet when I closed the door. I didn't realize that Buddy was not around until one hour later. He was none the worse for wear.

More of 'THE GENTLEMEN' (Netflix). Shut it down 18 minutes into episode #6.

***Very lethargic and stoned on the CBD. Drizzle & misty gray clouds are the perfect setting to be this kind of  'under the weather'. Running way behind, but it feels relaxing.

130pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing to hit the treadmill.

215pm:FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; The complete latest TUESDAYS WITH STORIES; more DAN SODER on J.R.E.

Weights: 3 sets/  15 reps

Reading 'RABBIT AT REST'.

445pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began an hour interview with STEWART COPELAND (POLICE).

545pm:  In the tub with 'RABBIT AT REST' and listening to DEREK & THE DOMINOS- 'Layla' Deluxe Playlist; XTC Playlist.

More of STEWART COPELAND'S interview. After The Police disbanded he began composing music for films, and then he created operas in Europe. Telling stories with music is what he really likes and far superior to the hassle of being in The Police.

More 'THE GENTLEMEN' (Netflix). I shut it down 31 minutes into episode #7. One hour left in the series and I'll finish it tomorrow morning.
