Up 540am: Cloudy with temps to about 50 and an unseasonable 'freeze warning' for tonight. 

Watched 'THE COLLINI CASE' (Tubi).  A very wealthy German businessman is shot dead in his own home and the murderer surrenders immediately yet refuses to speak to his court appointed defender. The film is about how his 'newbie' lawyer uncovers the defendant's righteous motivation. In 1968 Germany passed a law changing the prosecution of war crimes. 'Murder' would then be treated as 'Manslaughter' and there was a 25 year statute of limitations on 'Manslaughter' so many Nazi war criminals avoided prosecution.  During the war hundreds of thousands of Europeans were murdered in retaliatory measures. For every German killed, they might kill 20 partisans. 

Watched 'BOOM BUST BOOM' (Tubi). Milton Friedman was the leader of the 'Chicago School of Economics'.  Alan Greenspan implemented 'Free Market- NeoLiberalism' during the crisis of 2008. "Markets are self regulating and always arrive at a 'true' consensus". Not True: People operate in 'herd mentality' and what the majority settle upon is not always correct. 'Good Times' are actually bad for the economy because they encourage people to borrow more than they should and make risky financial decisions. Then this encouraged yet reckless behavior can lead to an economic crisis. 'Investing' is not the same thing as 'Speculating'.   

12pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. It's too raw & gray for any sidewalk action. 

1240pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; a complete TUESDAYS WITH STORIES from 3 years ago;  began DAVE ATTELL on WHISKEY GINGER.

Finished 'FRANNY & ZOOEY' and began 'IN THE CUT' by SUSANNA MOORE.

450pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more of ELANOR KERRIGAN on J.R.E. 

550pm: In the tub with 'IN THE CUT' and listening to JACK BRUCE- 'Smiles & Grins'; MILES DAVIS- 'Miles Ahead'.

Finished DAVE ATTELL on 'Whiskey Ginger'

Began 'MY NAME' (Netflix). A young woman joins a crew, brushes up her fighting skills and tries to find out who killed her dad.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
