Watched 'A BIT OF LIGHT' (Hoopla- borrowed yesterday). A strange movie about a recovering alcoholic who is grieving the loss of her kids. She was drunk  and passed out in a park and one of her daughters was almost hit by a car. Her ex-husband got custody and she's devastated by what she has thrown away. She meets a fourteen year old boy and he understands her distress and tries to help her. The character of Neil is so odd and all knowing that for most of the movie you wonder if he is a figment of her imagination or some kind of angelic being. The film kept you wondering about what was really going on and I liked this feeling of uncertainty; with Anna Paquin, Ray Winstone, Luca Hogan, and Pippa Bennett-Warner. The film was directed by Stephen Moyer (Anna Paquin's husband) and based on a play by Rebecca Callard.  Filmed in Ipswich, UK and Scarborough, UK.

Watched 'THE DOOMSDAY CULT OF ANTARES DE LA LUZ' (Netflix). A man from Chile proclaims that he is the reincarnation of Jesus and his followers believe that he is God.  When he informs his cult that his two day old son is evil and must be murdered they help him commit the murder and incinerate the body. Soon the details of the crime are revealed to the authorities, but the cult leader escapes to Peru where he commits suicide. The question remains: How much are the cult members responsible for the baby sacrifice? The two main cultists get two years a piece and the rest of the cult are sentenced to probation. It was an interesting case and raises many questions. What is 'motive' if you are possessed? 

12pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Planet Fitness. When I return I might give the battery store a call and get moving on the water heater/ sump pump chore.

Nile Rogers played guitar in the band on 'NOTORIOUS' and that album might be worth a listen; began '30:30: OJ Simpson: Made In America (Netflix)- This was not a puff piece

545pm: In the tub with 'RIPLEY UNDER GROUND' and listening to DAVID BOWIE Playlist; DURAN DURAN- 'Notorious'.

More of '30:30: O.J. Simpson (Netflix). I shut it down 1 hr 25 minutes into episode #2. A lot of the data is about the racial tensions in Los Angeles during the late 60's. OJ had his mansion, but his football days were behind him, and now he has become a national entrepreneur. This is a comprehensive and detailed series.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
