Watched 'CLIFF WALKERS' (Kanopy). Four Chinese spies return to China after training in the USSR and their aim is to expose murder & corruption within the Japanese occupation of Manchuria. However, someone is engaging in counterespionage and their network has been betrayed. This film was very hard to understand, but the scenes, sets and costumes were enough to maintain your interest. Some of the scenes shot in deep snow were some of the best I have ever seen. 35 wins & 49 nominations.

Finished '30 FOR 30: The Life & Trials of Oscar Pistorius' (Netflix). At first he was found not guilty of murder, but he got a manslaughter charge- 5 years. The state felt five years was out of the question and took the case to the supreme court. They ruled that it was murder because he shot four times and this is proof that he intended to kill whoever was behind the bathroom door. They gave him 15 years for murder. The experts that presented the defense with a very plausible  digital model of Pistorius's version of events almost got him off...'The South African OJ Simpson'.

Began 'GANGS OF GALICIA' (Netflix).  Galicia is on the northwest tip of the country on the border with Portugal. Fuerteventura is one of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Morocco. I shut it down 47 minutes into episode #1. A female lawyer's father is murdered and at the reading of the will she learns that he was in a witness protection program. And, two strangers share in his estate. Who, What, & Why. Another interesting Spanish series.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'.
