Up 515am: Breezy with a mix of sun & clouds with temps to 90 {and very humid}.

Watered flowers, but still too hot to open the windows.

Watched 'DON'T COME BACK FROM THE MOON' (Kanopy- 80 mins)). A romantic portrayal of poor people living in the wreckage of abandoned communities around the Salton Sea. 'Going to the moon' is their euphemism for starting a new life somewhere else. The theme is that it's tough leaving what you know for something risky and new. The film's weakness is that it's hard to understand why anyone would want to stay. They're already at rock bottom, so anywhere else is up; with James Franco & Rashida Jones. Filmed near Bombay Beach, CA. 

Watched 'KNUCKLEBALL' (Amazon Prime). A preteen boy is left in very rural and snowy Alberta Canada with his estranged grandfather while his parents attend a funeral.  Mayhem ensues and that involves a deranged half-brother and his mother. Mom happens to be imprisoned in a cage in the basement. How she came to be there might have been a more interesting story; with Michael Ironside. "55" Metascore and I would rate it slightly less than that. 

1115am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then visit Esporta.

1210pm: To Esporta...45"Precor,  45"Treadmill,  30"Cross,  30"Recumbent Bike,  30"Precor; finished season 1 of 'YOUR HONOR' (Netflix). I didn't know that there was a second season; more of DARRELL HAMMOND on 'Blocks'; watched a COLD CASE FILES' (Netflix)- In 1988 a woman in Opelousas, Louisiana is killed with over 10 stab wounds to the head and bite marks on the body. DNA solves the case nearly 30 years later. 

Finished 'IN BLOOD WRITTEN' by Steven Womack. It went out with a whimper. 

540pm: In the tub and back with 'FINGERSMITH' and listening to SPOOKY TOOTH Playlist; SPENCER DAVIS GROUP Playlist.

Began 'Sebastian Fitzek: THERAPY' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down 11 minutes into episode #2.The series is set on Parkum Island which is off the coast of Germany near the Netherlands.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
