Up 630am: According to the rain guage we got about an inch of rain last night. Today it will be cloudy & drizzle early then clearing by late afternoon and temps to low 80's. The heat wave has abated.
Watched 'HURLYBURLY' (Amazon Prime). The film is a rambling record of some very stoned conversations between a group of 'friends' who have a tangential relationship to Tinseltown. The film profiles highly verbal individuals who have the time, means, and cash to do anything, yet they relentlessly confuse emotional mastery with extreme self-absorption; with Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Chazz Palminteri, Robin Wright, Garry Shandling, Anna Paquin, and Meg Ryan. Said Roger Ebert: "The Movie follows the loop-the-loops of habitual drug users"...."The guy who dies in an accident understands the nature of destiny"- Is this a suicide note or merely an observation? {The man who sings acapella at Phil's funeral was a founding member of the American rock band, Jay & The Americans}
Began 'WORLD WAR II: From The Frontlines' (Netflix). I shut it down 28 minutes into the first episode. Colorized and 'refreshed' video make it seem much more lifelike than if it was standard black & white photography.
12pm: PC is 'Off' and although it is still overcast, the plan is to do the weights and then do a long walk outside. It has been many days since I've been able to hit the sidewalks.
Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps [maybe later]
1230pm- 215pm: To Washington Park...Parkview, Wash.Pk southside, Wiggins, Outer Park, Lincoln, Leland, Douglas, Wash.Pk, MacArthur, Wash.Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 45 MINUTES; COLLECTIVE SOUL Playlist; STEPPENWOLF Playlist; began TIM DILLON on J.R.E.
Reading 'THE LITIGATORS'
445pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; JOEY DIAZ & The Death Stars'
540pm: In the tub 'THE LITIGATORS' and listening to LITTLE FEAT- 'Feat Don't Fail Me Now'; SON SEALS Playlist; CREAM- 'Wheels Of Fire'.
Finished 'JOEY DIAZ & LEE SYATT'.
More 'GANGS OF GALICIA' (Netflix). I finished episode #4 and I'm still pretty hazy on the details, but it's still compelling because of quirky characters and beautiful settings.
