Up 545am: Severe storms early morning, then partly cloudy & humid with temps to 90. It's going to be very hot & sticky for the next several days. 

I had to do a Windows Update and it only took a few moments and No Discernible Difference.

Watched 'SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION' (Hoopla- last pick of the month).  A young black hustler employs an intimate knowledge of  the milieu of the rich and powerful to intrude into the lives of The Entitled. It seems his motivation is that he does it only because he can. The film's title implies connectivity between people, but it's actually about the randomness of events and how little control we have over how people become part of our lives. Based on the play by John Guare; with Will Smith, Stockard Channing, Donald Sutherland, Ian McKellen, Mary Beth Hurt, Bruce Davison, and Heather Graham. Nominated for 1 Oscar; 6 nominations. "72" Metascore and I would have added a point or two.  {According to Wikipedia the story is based on an actual event. One evening a rich couple brings a black man into their home and later in the night they find him in bed with another man.  Mayhem ensued. The playwright heard about the incident and wrote the play}.

***915am: The guy that mows the lawn across the street cut the grass even though it stopped pouring less than a half hour ago. He must need that money because there was no aesthetic emergency. 

Watched 'GOLD BRICK' (Netflix). Employees at a luxury perfume factory in France skim a box from each pallet of inventory and sell it themselves. This becomes a million dollar operation. I had seen this one before (not too long ago), but it was a witty satire of how Capitalism is seen in a European country and well worth a second look.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
