Watched 'KILL BILL Vol. 1' (Netflix). A female martial arts expert seeks to exterminate 'The Viper Squad'. The ending leaves the door open for the 'KILL BILL Vol. 2' and 'The Bride' can continue to take her revenge on the remaining members of the group. A truly superior piece of cinema and if you're a fan of 'chop-socky', there is none better; with Uma Thurman (The Bride/'Black Mamba'), David Carradine, Daryl Hannah, Michael Madsen, Lucy Liu). Directed by Quentin Tarantino. Nominated for 5 BAFTA Awards; 30 wins &104 nominations. "69" Metascore.

Watched 'JANKY PROMOTERS' (Netflix). Two naive rap promoters struggle to bring a popular rapster {Young Jeezy} to Modesto, CA. A few laughs, but this type of film has been done so many times and so much better; with Ice Cube & Mike Epps. 

1150am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit the sidewalks. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

***When I got up to put the clothes in the dryer I noticed that Buddy had thrown up outside the downstairs door. Every time I increase his food intake he seems to get sick. Or am I just imagining this connection? 

More 'UNTOLD: Swamp Kings' (Netflix). I shut it down 42 minutes into the second episode. I don't care about football, but this is more about how a coach inspired his team successfully to overcome an insurmountable challenge.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
