Up 6am: Rain off & on during the early hours, then bad storms around noon with temps almost to 90. Sticky & hot. {At times the radar weather map had patches over the city that were blood red. But, nearly all of the bad weather passed us by. Hardly any rain fell.} 

I wanted to get in FIVE MILES and then relax before the dental checkup at 1pm. 

7am: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; the latest 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES'; more of THEO VON with the mall cop. 

Watched 'A WALK IN THE WOODS' (Netflix- leaving soon). Two old men try to hike the Appalachian Trail and although they do not last the whole trail, they learn to rekindle the freindship that they had lost...or some such nonsense. There were some nice shots of the real Appalachian Trail; with Nick Nolte, Robert Redford, Emma Thompson, and Nick Offerman. "51" Metascore and that's about where I would rate it, although anyone younger than fifty shouldn't even consider it.   

***The radar map looks absolutely lethal for late this afternoon. I hardly go anywhere that I can't put off or avoid, except today.

I wanted to do a bit more 'QUEEN OF THE SOUTH' (Netflix), but decided to do the weights before I leave for the dentist. And I want to leave early so that I can get the pills at County Market/ Fairhills.

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps

1205pm: To the streets...got the pills at County Market and cut off Koke Mill to return the belt at Kohls.  Completely spur of the moment and it only took a couple of minutes. But, I forgot to buy a belt so I came back after the dentist. I had a 20% discount for returning the belt.

Dentist: $120 visit, then $400 for gum issues: $520 Total. Last time it was only $260 for gums, but this time more teeth were injected. Am I being upsold? 

Back to Kohls and belts were $30- $40...forget about it. I'll do Amazon.

540pm: In the tub to finish 'A WIDOW FOR ONE YEAR' and began 'THE MONEY HARVEST' by ROSS THOMAS and listening to KING CRIMSON Playlist; MASTERS OF REALITY Playlist; FUNKADELIC- 'Best & Finest.

***I ordered a water pick from Amazon: $13.99 and reduced from $29.99 and it cost me zero. I think it's the rebate on the belt.

More 'QUEEN OF THE SOUTH' (Netflix). I shut it down 18 minutes into episode #12. 'The Perils of Pauline' that is set in the world of Mexican drug cartels. I can't believe this goes for four more seasons because it's as tight as drum- no slack.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
