Up 715am (I must have been exhausted) Cloudy and very humid and possible storms could occur this afternoon with temps to almost 90.

I want to get on the treadmill before today's film. 

805am: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO; watch an episode of 'HOMICIDE: Los Angeles'- A woman is bruattly raped and murdered on a beach in Los Angeles. Thirty four years later her killer is captured with DNA evidence. These 'True Crimes' are not nearly as good as the ones that are being produced in Europe. 

Watched 'SAS: The Rise of The Black Swan' (Netflix). A terrorist organization hijacks a train connecting England and France beneath the English Channel. They commit the crime to show that the English government employed them to decimate a village in Russia to facilitate a gas pipeline owned by the British; with Sam Heughan, Ruby Rose, Andy Serkis, and Tom Hopper. For an Action/ Adventure pic, it was far better than I would imagine: A solid 'C+'.

More of 'QUEEN OF THE SOUTH' (Netflix). What a terrific series! A perfect setup for the next season.  Teresa becomes on equal footing with Camilla and any discussion of 'the book' will be on Teresa's terms and her boyfriend is alive and working for the DEA. I'm going to open a different series, but I've already left a note in the 'Ended but Not Forgotten' email draft file. 

I tried to get the Kanopy account opened, but nada. The woman will call me back.

240pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the 2 miles and then head to Red Oak.

3pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more of Lou Pearlman and the 'Boy Band' debacle.

405pm: To Red Oak...didn't leave till 950pm. Discord between Jamie & Jon's families and political discussion was divisive. I had a chicken patty cooked in the air fryer and a very nice salad. It was so good that she made the meal there and we didn't have to go anywhere to eat..Tired, and in bed at the regular time...

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
