***Last night I got up twice with diarrhea (130am; 330am) and I gave Buddy a bit of canned food and later he threw it up on the hallway carpet.

Watched 'GOD'S CROOKED LINES' (Netflix). I gave it 'Two Thumbs' the first time around and it was well worth the high marks. It's complex and clever and seems like it was adapted from a deep literary work. A woman secretly arranges to be admitted into a mental institution to investigate the suicide of the son of a wealthy man.  Did she really fake her way into the facility or was she actually institutionalized by her crooked husband so that he could steal her money? The film is so intentionally loaded with clues, conflicting points of view, and lies that you can't be sure of the true chain of events. Everything in the film could be true, but not necessarily and presenting the story out of chronological order also heightens the unreality of the tale and prolongs the suspense. I liked it! 4 wins & 20 nominations, but no Metascore at IMDB.

1105am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta. After the workout I'll stop at Schnucks for a case of Diet Squirt.

No new ground broken; more of MARC MARON on 'TIGER BELLY';  watched a 'COLD CASE FILES'- Coed at U of I Carbondale is murdered before a 1982 Easter visit from her family. Twenty five years later the perp is connected to eight other rapes & murders.

545pm: In the tub with 'A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY' and listening to ERIC DOLPHY Playlist; JOHNNY WINTER Playlist.

Began 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK' with ADAM RAY as 'Dr. Phil'.

Began 'KAOS' (Netflix). Watched 30 minutes of the series (starring Jeff Goldblum as Zeus) and then went back to 'THE BARRIER' (Netflix). I shut it down 53 minutes into episode #3. The Resistance is awakening and Revolution is in the air...

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
