Watched 'FRESH KILLS' (Hoopla). A Mob Movie as seen through the eyes of the females in the boss's family.  'Loyalty' and 'Obedience' are the primary motivators. The women only partially understand what is going on because their role is to nurture and obey. Fear and intimidation tighten the bonds of family to a toxic level. Although your family has your back, they also dictate every aspect of your life; with Emily Bader, Odessa A'zion, Jennifer Esposito (she wrote and directed the movie), and Domenick Lombardozzi (THE WIRE).  

Watched 'THE LAST MOMENT OF CLARITY' (Amazon Prime).  After three years of mourning a man spots an actress in a movie that he believes is actually his dead finace. He thought that she died in an eplosion and fire at their old apartment. They were unaware that they had been the victims of a mob hit. Or I can only guess because none of it made much sense, but it certainly was an ambitious & novel idea; with Brian Cox. Filmed on location in Hampton Roads, Virginia and various locations in Paris, France..."Logic will fail to talk someone out of something logic did not talk them into."

1230pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do Five Miles on the treadmill and watch the latest 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES.

1pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; 'TUESDAYS at NY Comedy Club @ ARI SHAFFIR.

440pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched an interview with BILL MAHER and MEGAN KELLY (18"). 

540pm: In the tub with 'DARK SACRED NIGHT' and listening to Early JETHRO TULL Playlist; Early ROLLING STONES Playlist. 

Finished  'ARE YOU GARBAGE?'.

More 'UNAUTHORIZED LIVING' (Netflix). I shut it down 54 minutes into episode #6.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
