Up 530am: Hot & nasty with temps mid to upper 90's. An 'Excessive' Heat Advisory is in effect all day. I'm still able to catch a few hours of 'open window' breeze {till 945am}. 

Watched 'KIDNAPPING STELLA' (Netflix). A superior kidnapping tale about two determined kidnappers who take a young woman and hold her for ransom. The first several minutes of the film show them going into a big box store and buying the necessary items; rope, locks, sound baffling materials, power tools, plastic sheeting. The presentation of 'shopping for an abduction' was riveting. 'The hook' is that the girl is an ex-girlfriend of one of the kidnappers. After some 'Perils of Pauline' hijinks and several bizarre interactions with her ex,  she kills both men and drives away with the $4,000,000 ransom cash. I was glued to the screen from beginning to end and there were only three actors in the entire film. For much of the film the two men were wearing masks & blue coveralls and the woman had a ball gag in her mouth. This was the German edition of the film concept and there is an English version and one made in the Netherlands.

***Wasted several soul destroying minutes with 'Calendar'. I had 'Taxes' repeating every day for 2025. I don't know how I got it and I don't know how I got out of it. 

Watched the rest of 'UNAUTHORIZED LIVING' (Netflix). Season #2 should be wild. Nemo's sister in law and her gay/ bisexual nephew plan to take over the drug business. She's using the Mexican cartel and the Columbian psychopath with his Spanish connections. Nemo's sister in law was shocked to learn that her husband is in Oeste. She thought that he was still jailed in Mexico. And in the final scene Nemo shoves Mario off a cliff at the gravesite of Mario's father. Is Mario still alive?

Began 'THE HOUSE OF NINJA' (Netflix). A family of Japanese ninjas run a family brewery and each have a special 'power'. Not in the mood and tonight I will retry 'THE BARRIER' (Netflix). I watched the first couple of episodes in January of 2023. 

1245pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do 5 miles on the treadmill and watch the latest 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES'. 

115pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT;  TUESDAYS WITH STORIES.

Began 'A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY' by JOHN IRVING & finished 'THE ASSOCIATE' by JOHN GRISHAM. 

440pm: TWO MILES AT 3.9 PACE [forgot to turn it up]  AND ZERO SLANT; began 'SODER' with female comic 

540pm: In the tub with 'A PRAYER...'and listening to MICK ABRAHAMS Playlist; LUCINDA WILLIAMS- 'Live @ The Fillmore'.

Finished 'SODER' and began JB SMOOVE on 'Blocks'.

Began 'THE BARRIER' (Netflix). I watched the first episode and I will definitely continue with more of the series. I think the first time I stopped after the third episode. But, one of the leads played 'Malcolm' in 'UNAUTHORIZED LIVING' (Netflix).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
