Up 530am: Light rain early this morning, then cloudy & muggy with temps to upper 80's.  

Watched 'THE CHALK LINE' (Netflix). This is a Spanish film that I gave 'Two Thumbs' when I first saw it and I liked it even more this time. A couple finds a six year old girl in bad health wandering in the middle of the road. No parents or guardians are present and no reason for her to be alone in a rural area in the middle of the night, so they decide to take her in and locate her family. The plotline goes non-linear and you learn that their next door neighbor and his wife are responsible. The suspense never wanes, even when the story turns back on itself. I give it high marks just for the way the tale is told.  

***50 mg is the ideal dose. Drop it on the way back from the walk and the afternoon is 'all good'.

Watched 'THE ADOLF EICHMANN TRIAL' (Netflix). Numerous Jewish leaders were coerced into providing the Nazis with lists of Jews to be sent to the camps. If they didn't provide names, their own families would be sent.  Many were accused of collaborating with the enemy, but it's kind of a fine line. Throughout the trial he maintained that he was only in charge of transportation. He was neither a cog in the machine or 'only following orders'. It was more that he was a fierce Nazi and he was determined to do his job to the very best of his ability.  However, documents and witness testimony demonstrate that he was instrumental in the planning and implementation of 'The Final Solution' as early as the Wannsee Conference of 1942. In 1944 Himmler gave the order to stop the deportation of  Hungarian Jews to the death camps because he knew that the war was over. Eichmann disobeyed this order because he was convinced that their primary mission was the destruction of all Jews in the name of National Socialism. 

1225pm: The PC is 'Off' and I don't know if I'll walk downtown and pay the real estate taxes which are due 9/6 or walk the treadmill. It's going to get hotter later in the week and this might be the best shot.

Finished JB SMOOVE on 'Blocks' and began '

More 'THE BARRIER' (Netflix). I shut it down 18 minutes into episode #3.   The protagonists are from Asturias, Spain which is in the northwest corner of the country 190 miles west of Bilbao along the coast.
