Up 6am: Cloudy & breezy with temps to mid 70's. 

Watched 'BANGKOK BREAKING: Heaven and Hell' (Netflix). A brave EMT is hijacked and forced to aid in a violent riot situation. Street gangs and police swat teams battle on the turf of Bangkok's dilapidated public high rise buildings. A multinational corporation wants to take the community's land and build a gentrified housing complex and upscale retail space. "We're Not Leaving, We Have No Place To Go". There are gangs fighting gangs while the police battle the protestors and the ambulance driver becomes involved in the kidnapping of a young rich girl. A lot of moving parts in this film, but it was fast paced action with lots of special effects. Worth a look. 

More 'MONSTERS' (Netflix). I finished episode #6 and there are only three left. I will continue at Esporta and maybe finish the series tonight.  

12pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta.

More 'WE WERE KINGS' (Netflix). I shut it down 3 minutes into episode #3. It's about two friends. One has just graduated from the police academy and the other is beginning the life of a petty criminal. The criminal is having a love (sexual!) affair with the rookie cop's mother. One night the cop learns of the affair, he confronts his friend and in the struggle, the cop is shot and killed.  His friend says they were mugged and the assailant did it. I've never heard this premise, so it's somewhat unusual and the location is unbelievable. It's shot in the baddest area in Mexico City- 'concrete block castles'.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
