 Th 9/26/24

705am (2-LB). 810am (1/2-B). 1210pm (2-LB). 535pm (2-LB). 815pm (2-LB).

Up 6am: Sunny & breezy with temp to upper 70's.

Watched 'THE KILL ROOM' (Kanopy).  The film is basically a light satire on the determination of 'Value' within the marketplace where artists, collectors, and dealers trade artworks for huge sums.  Asking prices are sky high and the standards by which they are judged are purely hypothetical. So, it's an ideal opportunity to launder huge sums of money. I thought the satire was a little weak, and a more interesting film might have been a documentary that successfully hypes and sells a fraud and demonstrates how easily the 'experts' can be fooled; with Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Joe Manganiello. "58" Metascore and I'd give it a 'C-minus' although I did enjoy the film.

Watched 'MURDEROUS MINDS: Harold Shipman' (Amazon Prime- 45"). An English doctor killed over 200 people and according to the doc he is considered to be a serial killer. But, it seems to me that he was more like an English 'Jack Kerorkian'. The film says that he targetted the very old and sick for murder, but couldn't these terminably ill people have been asking for assisted suicide?  This explanation hasn't even been hinted at and it's such a glaring and obvious omission.

More 'BORGEN: Power & Glory' (Netflix). I shut it down 3 minutes into the final episode and I'll finish tonight and start on another foreign series.

***A tree company is trimming or cutting down the big tree two houses up the street from me. I hope that it's just a trim and not a removal. {It was a removal and the big Poplar or Ash tree is no longer there}

1125am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then workout at Planet Fitness. Tomorrow I will get on the treadmill first thing so that I can get in mileage before the roof inspection at 1pm.

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps.

1225pm: To Planet Fitness...45"Cross,  45"Treadmill,  30"Bike,  30"Treadmill,  30"Cross;  watched 'JAILBREAK: Love On The Run'- In Alabama a female correctional office falls for an incarcerated felon and she breaks him out. They were captured but not before she blew her brains out; finished RICK BEATO's interview with ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist; began a WE MIGHT BE DRUNK.

Schnucks:  $29; Squirt/ Hamns

540pm:  In the tub with 'COLD DAY IN HELL' and listening to FLOCK Playlist; BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN- 'E- Street Shuffle'/ 'Born To Run'.

More of PHIL HANLEY on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

Finished 'BORGEN: Power & Glory' (Netflix). It was a fine series and it looks like there are more spinoffs and I'll definitely get to them at a later time.

Began 'WE WERE KINGS' (Netflix). A Mexican drama series and I think it will be worth a look.
