Watched 'OVERDOSE' (Amazon Prime).  The movie is basically about a heroin convoy (cars and two motorcycles) delivering 150 kilos from Catalonia in Spain. The plan goes awry at a rest stop outside of Carcassonne, France.  One of the driver's female companions is a junkie and she overdoses and draws the attention of the highway cops. A gun fight ensues and the operation ends in Aubervilliers which is just north of central Paris, France. It's gritty and violent yet no new ground is broken, but still worth a look.  

Watched 'CIA COVERT EXPERIMENTS' (Amazon Prime- 55"). It's about a clandestine CIA operation where they 'dosed' the French village of Pont-Saint-Esprit with LSD. The town of Pont-Saint-Esprit is in a remote area about 85 miles northwest of Marseille and the incident occurred in August of 1951. Also, it includes documentation of many experiments in the US involving unwitting participation by patients in hospitals and members of the armed forces.

'COUNCIL FOR NATIONAL POLICY' is the American Taliban. The fucking scariest thing going in politics today, and nobody has heard of them. It's ripped from the pages of Margaret Attwell's novel, 'THE HANDMAID'S TALE'; watched 'THE MURDER OF SAMANTHA WOLL (Amazon Prime- 55")- A woman is stabbed & murdered outside of her apartment in Detroit, 2023.  They had the perp on outside video but they couldn't put him in the room. It ended in a hung jury.

545pm: In the tub with 'GONE WITH SOLDIERS' and listening to ELVIN JONES Playlist; SPOOKY TOOTH- 'The Island Years'.

Finished RICK RUBIN  on 'RICK BEATO' and began MARC MARON at a record store.

More 'YELLOWJACKETS' (Netflix). I shut it down 13 minutes into episode #9.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
