Watched 'THE NIGHT COMES FOR US' (Netflix). I saw this one not too long ago, but it was very much worth a second look.  I had no idea what was going on. It had something to do with a young girl who is saved after her entire village is slaughtered. And something about 'The Six Seas' that is some kind of international & powerful criminal enterprise. Two friends become enemies and work it out through a ballet of bullets and buckets of blood. This is by the Malaysian director that was featured on 'V/H/S/ 94'; however the best episode was about the Christian Nationalists who use vampire blood to take over the United States government. 

Finished 'BODKIN' (Netflix). That was a classy series with a light touch and quirky warm vibes. It's got very good actors playing unique characters in beautiful locations. Season #2 has not been confirmed, but there is a ground swell...I hope.

Began a TIM DILLON podcast- 'Election Analysis'.

Began 'HELLBOUND' (Netflix),  I shut it down 33 minutes into episode #2. Demons are appearing on Earth and telling people when they will be violently cast into Hell. An Evangelist/ Cult Leader seems to know what's going down, but he's acting otherworldly. This could be a really good series, or it might miss the mark completely.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
