Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'SAJINI SHINDE KA VIRAL VIDEO' (Netflix). It's very much an Indian film, but not Bollywood. While on vacation to Singapore a young teacher gets wild at her birthday party and she's videotaped dancing with two nearly naked men ('Sandwich Dance').  The film clip goes viral and she loses her family, friends, occupation, and any feelings of self worth that she might have had. Then the film becomes a kind of police drama and although she has committed suicide, this is not revealed until the end of the film. In India they have a law called 'the Abatement of Suicide' and this holds people legally accountable if they knowingly cause a person to take their own life. It also punishes people who attempt suicide and live. They could be prosecuted.  WHODUNIT: It was the high school principal and the school janitor that covered up the suicide after the principal gave the teacher an earful of abuse. The principal and janitor both got a couple of years in prison, but I'm surprised that they made the charges stick since it would be extremely hard to prove that the principal's tongue lashing was the sole reason that the teacher ended her life. 

Began '900 DAYS WITHOUT ANABEL' (Netflix).  The ransom demand was for approximately $9,000 which is $150,000,000 pesetas.  Considering the kind of upscale gated community that they lived in, this seems to be a much lower ransom than what you might expect. I'll finish the final hour of this True Crime series tonight.  

1220pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing to rake the front lawn....again.

More '900 DAYS WITHOUT ANABEL' (Netflix). A couple of unprepared numbskulls kidnapped the young woman with no viable plan and killed her within six hours. The charade went on for 900 days (2.47 years).

Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
