Watched 'FUNERAL IN BERLIN' (Hoopla- borrowed yesterday). The film made more sense than the novel yet followed the novel more or less. Nothing about the 'enzyme science' and less emphasis on secondary characters. Beautiful locations in Berlin during the early 1960's. The film was shot in 1965 and the world was in the throes of The Cold War and the James Bond book & movie franchise took off and spy films became the rage. However, Harry Palmer is more of a tea and crumpets special agent rather than Bond's martinis and models approach to spycraft; with Michael Caine. Based on the novel by Len Dieghton that I finished yesterday.

Watched 'NOTHING TO HIDE' (Netflix). Guests at a French dinner party decide to listen to all of their personal messages, texts, and emails on speaker-phone during the party. Relationships are changed and/or broken and the film's theme is that everyone has secrets that are best left private. But it was all an illusion because the night of a total eclipse of the moon was magical and 'the phone game' didn't affect their lives. I'd give it a 'high sixties' Metascore.  

1210pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing to walk on the treadmill. Maybe I'll get outside later...maybe.

1225pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; 1st episode of The 'News Church of What's Happening'.

***Lake Area Disposal picked up my 11 leaf bags!! I was getting ready to fill my remaining three leaf bags, but they did the pickup before I could begin to rake. So I took my good intentions and went to work on the back lawn.

540pm: In the tub with 'CRIME WAVE' and listening to MILES DAVIS- 'The Man With The Horn'; WAILERS Playlist.

***While listening to Bob Maryley & The Wailers I borrowed a novel from the library on Kindle and it's about 70's Jamaican politics and the attempt on Bob Marley's life- 'A BRIEF HISTORY OF SEVEN MURDERS by MARLON JAMES. Over ten bucks was as cheap as I could get the book from Amazon, and from the library I didn't even have to use a Hoopla pick. The loan went directly to Kindle and I've got two weeks to finish the book. 

Watched a 30" YouTube video where a guy eats 3.5 grams of mushrooms in a chocolate bar.

More 'SANCTUARY' (Netflix). I shut it down 42 minutes into episode #5. I don't know the rules of the sport, so it's hard to empathize with the hero. He's sensitive to a fault, yet also a clueless egotistical braggart and this makes him an interesting character.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.
